hey all, just a quick question on a retail (ish) price.
anyone know how much an anery cinder female would cost?

breeders will be much more reasonable, out here about $80-100.

I don't know Canadian prices but I am pretty sure an anery cinder would run much more than $100 in the US. I am not sure how many anery cinders are out there (if any) and in general I thought Canadian prices are higher than American. Cinders are still running $80-100.

I would also make sure you are buying from a reputable source. So many people really don't understand the genetics and end up labeling things incorrectly.

that is what i suspect as well ...
I think maybe he was told thats what it was when he bought it.
I am not purchasing it but trading it for an albino california king female.
I will probably breed her and see what i get. what would be the fast way to prove said genetics? breed to a normal i guess? (remember I haven't researched these genes as of yet so I don't know if they are co-dom, recessive, or not. but i will be researching if the deals goes through.)
someone gimme a quick rundown on the genes (potentially) involved.

Anery and cinder are both recessive genes. If you found a male that was anery het cinder or cinder het anery you could prove her out but it may be diffult to tell anery cinders apart from cinders. I think aneries would be obvious. Thinking about it I suspect what this person has is a cinder. They used to be called anery c since they looked very similar to aneries when hatched. I am not sure I see the benefit of mixing the two morphs. Having said that though, I have never worked with cinder.

If you bred her to the Aztec butter male your F1s would all be normals unless he carries anery, which would not be surprising but you certainly can't count on it. The F2s would be awesome, cinders, Amels, caramels, butters, peppermints (amel and cinder), caramel cinders, butter cinders would all be possible. If she is homo anery as well then you can add anery, snows, anery cinder, caramel cinder, butter cinder and caramel snow cinders to the list!
