Everyone, meet my Avicularia avicularia, Chloe. She's pretty much the prettiest of her species that I've ever seen, not to be braggy. :D

Wahhh don't tell me that!! She's way fatter now; hese are kinda old pics. I've had the sneaking suspicion though. If she is indeed a he, she'll just have to be a transgender spider.

Wow! Really nice looking spider! Forgive my ignorance, but how can you tell by the pics if it's a he or she?

You kinda can. Males are a bit more colorful and tend to be smaller and have smaller abdomens. There are always exceptions, though. Therefore, I will just say that Chloe is a she :)

you can sex it when it molts, then youll know...if it is male it probably has 2-3 more molts before it matures:)

Males actually tend to be more dull in colors than females. Abdomens in different sexes also don't matter, I've had very fat matured males before. Males are smaller than females as well but you can't sexe them on only size as they can still be growing. It's only really possible to tell by a molt unless the male is matured. Very pretty T though! :)
