I'm 90% sure that it is not moss at all, but a plant called saliginella...

hey greg,
that would be a mixture of a few different types of moss. where the frogs are (dendrobates tinctorius - surinam cobalts) that is tropical moss. Hard to get up here since there is a restiction to shipping like plant (yes i know moss isn't really a plant) and i don't think anyone supplies it up here. you can talk to jared wolfe or andrew clark cause them probably know of a place to get it. The other type of moss is club moss (common name) ussually sunny side and revy bring it in on a regular basis. this moss is in the left corner where its a bit blurry. well i hope this helped you out.

Ben Eiben constructs some beautiful vivs, I've actually learned a lot from him, although I don't do moss groundcovers, because as beautiful as they are, they don't depict my dart frogs' natural environment accurately.
The tank pictured at that link contains two species of selaginella, an ancient order of plants often called "club mosses" ... but they're not true moss.
The obvious-looking fern is probably Polypodium vulgare or something very similar...called Ressurection Fern because of its' ability to recover from drought.
The feathery looking things may actually be members of the fern family too, or some other ancient order, I've forgotten which.
I'm pretty sure the moss is some native North American species or similar...

Ive got something similar you can use that grows like mad if your interested...ive found with years of keeping planted aquariums that alot of the plants will survive outside with simply being damp. I think alot of ppl over look this and often spend large amounts of money trying to grow even harder plants. If the ground is fairly damp..you can use java moss..a simple misting will keep this stuff alive...i have tonnes of it attached to a cork back ground in one of my tanks an its growing out of the tank like mad. It has a feathery leaf like appearance similar to a fern..yet it is dense and covers nicely like a moss. It grows extremely quickly and will soon cover anything you want. It does not root, so basically throw it in an watch it grow. It is available quite readily and cheaply from just about any aquarium store...or if you cant find it..email me and ill see if i can help you out :D
