She is sitting perched on my shoulders just as still and content as she could be.

Awww... I love it when they'll just sit and chill with you. :)
I sure like the positive light you bring to the Macklots! They are really cool snakes!

I realize Macklot's are highly underrated and that they have a reputation for being quite bitey. In reality, only the babies are bitey and with regular handling, they grow out of that very quickly. Two examples of that are Lancelot and Guinevere, my '10 Macks. I picked them up in April of last year only six months after they were hatched. Then two months later I was able to take these pics of them. As you can see, they are quite tame, just chillin on my bare hand; this only two months after picking them up like I said.
I repeat this to stress the point. Macklot's tame down very quickly with regular frequent handling, even as babies.
I so enjoy pulling each one of the five Macks I have to play with them. They seem to enjoy it and I sure do and now with the acquisition of GI Jane, the only known Mack to be that yellow, breeding plans are in the works and I have a feeling a lot will come from this. :)

These same two snakes pics were taken this year and they are even more tame than they were last year especially as exemplified in Guinevere's closeup shot of her only inches from my face. Nothing illusutrates this point more than that pic.
I also know of a 10' Mack here in town who is so tame, his temperment could be compared with a Red Tail Boa.
