knowing the diverse range of species you work with Terry, can you not give us a little clue ?

especially for folk like me who only work with one species;)

some type of local specific boa perhaps ?

cheers shaun

You need to ask some poignant questions, to which I will give honest answers ;)

I'll bite...

Is it a boid at all? colubrids? or perhaps one of each?

You've ruled out "tree boas" so I'm assuming no arboreal boids.

Tiger rat?

I think you may need to narrow it down a bit more than 'a colubrid' before guessing species LOL

Racking my brain for South American colubrids.....

Chironius sp? Pseustes sulphurus? Sibon nebulata? Drymarchon sp (cribos)?

Nope.

They have two common names, one gives away their primary colour.

Scarlet ;)
