So I have noticed on line looking at other Jags that some are very expensive.
Now he is not for sale but I got Dutch here for a fraction of what I think he is worth. Of course his worth to us is more than dollars and cents but I am curious.
What do you think he would cost from a breeder and what do you think I actually paid?
Answer in a few days.
So how much???

from what i've seen in the usa the jags are graded in price from $250 to $400,unless its a very exceptional one, like from the Gamma line jags or just an incredible one off
going by your jags pattern,i'm thinking he's not just a pure coatal jag,but an irian jag or jungle jag ?
he's very clean and bright,so i would imagine he's up at the top end of pricing, around the $300 to $400 mark ?
cheers shaun:)

No idea what breeders charge, never dealt with one, but around here it'd go for about $150 from a private sale, so that'll be my guesstimate :)

I have never really understood talking $$ in public. I am glad you feel as if you got a good deal and a great snake.

I would say for him he go for around $350.00 to $450.00. I am guessing you pay between $150.00 to $200.00.

Only reason I went this route was because he had what I was looking for. He is 1 of 2 snakes I bought from someone other than a private sale and only 1 of 3 that was a baby.

I do think I got a great deal. Not stroking my ego here or anything, just curious what people think he is "worth" considering I have seen some with less yellow and not as nice for over $1000 from breeders in the US. I had considered having one shipped to me but I was looking at $1700 by the time it crossed the boarder. This little guy was a few blocks away and way cheaper.
This thread was just for fun.
Great guesses so far. Thanks!!

I can only tell you what I would pay in the UK/Europe, and I would be looking around an equivalent of just over 300 US

Thanks for the replys. One person is very close.
Seeing as what people are willing to pay dictatates what they are priced at I can't believe people pay $5000+ for some of the royal morphs or $10k+ for some of the retics.
Especialy when carpets are so much better ;)

I bet you paid $100 if you got a really good deal.
I would pay around $85 for him.

Not likely.
No seriously, I would pay $85-$125. I have a great relationship with my wholesalers.

I'd say he should be around $300+ dollars but jags could be really tough to price. I've seen some expensive jags (around $700) which were average looking (for jags, good looking carpets in general). But from the right breeder I could get extremely high quality supernova jags (white body as opposed to yellow) for around $450-$550.
I'm a bit better at pricing granites.

Well the truth is I paid $200 for him with his enclosure, a brand new lamp and heat bulb a bag of aspen and 5 pinky rats. So I paid about $150 for him alone. I thought I did pretty good and the reason I posted about price was because I was about a minute away from calling in my credit card number to get a $1700 snake shipped to Toronto. So I think I made off like a bandit.
Thanks for guessing all.

That is a great price for that snake. He's unbelievably gorgeous!
About a month ago I went to a show and saw an adult jungle crammed in a small plastic file box. The guy said he was a retired breeder and he just wanted to get rid of him. I felt bad for the snake and knew I had a nice big empty neodesha at home, so I gave the guy $100 and got the file box too.
I think I got a great deal too, a big old sweet jungle who just needed a home :)

Good on you. Love stories like that.
Hey Todd I might not have a Veyron for you but I actually might have something for you. Pm you about it in the next few days.
