Luigi is my first big snake! I've never handled anything bigger than Penelope :D
Don't worry I did my research on how to handle big snakes :)

Well Penelope I bought on impulse, and Zeus will get big! When I first started I didn't know what a big snake needs and didn't think I was ready. If Randy didn't say he wants them to go together, I wouldn't have even thought about getting him. But I'm glad I did because he's great and I'm in love with him already. Until he poops bahahahaha

Had to jump on the opportunity to give him a bath while I'm at my parents house and have a bath tub available :D

Hahahaha some HS kid selling books rang the doorbell as I was carrying him over my shoulder back to his tub, so I answered while holding him. The poor kid didn't know what to do or say once he saw him hahahahaha

Grats trollbie! welcome to the wonderfull world of large snake owning, just remember even when your in a rush and want to get the cleaning over and done with, remain calm and cool and methodical movments around them, because if they spook for whatever reason, its not a little love tap like small snakes, could end up leaving you a little swore, but boas are real calm 99% of the time, so im sure you will be fine. Some real nice looking snakes you have found yourself.

typically I don't, because they typically don't look that good. Every so often a good looking one pops up, you seem to have 2.

I have yet to get bitten by a snake so I think in a way that helps me not be nervous or anything. Luigi seems very calm. The one time he went for my face he just kissed me lol
But thanks for the advice! It's something you don't really think about when you're in a rush...

Credit goes to Randy for having them first :D

A boa was my first big guy too. I was going to adopt a ball python from the shelter but my friend who volunteered there talked me into a 6 foot BCI. He hissed when she first took him out of the rack, he bit my husband as soon as we got home, but I love him so much and don't regret it a bit. Your new additions are beautiful.

Congrats! You got two really good looking animals there. Thanks for giving them a good home. And I don't think you'll have much to worry about with the bigger one. Most redtails are pretty calm. As with any snake, just make sure you use calm steady movements so you don't spook them. They also have a helluva deathgrip if they don't feel secure when you're holding them as with any large animal.
