Temp change

At what age should I increase the temps for my Rainbows? They're @ 77 now. Mostly yearlings and one about 2yrs.

Is the 77F for the whole cage, Roy? Ideally, you should have a gradient, and provide it throughout their lives. I shoot for a low of 70F to a high of 81F. If a female is gravid, I try to tip the warm end up a degree.

I have my thermostat set to 82 with the probe on the aarm end of the tub, heeping the front a few degrees cooler. Each tub has belly heat only along the back 20-25% of the floor.

Sounds OK to me, depending on how low the cool end gets (below 80 hopefully?).
