not sure if i am aloud to ask this or post this but i was wondering if you guys knew of nay good canadian breeders? i want to get my ball soon but i dont know of any canadian breeders. My local pet store has a bunch of young baby normals that are soo super cute i am soo tempted tog et one but i dont want a normal i want something different like an albino. I amsure though i will end up with one of the babies from the pet store if they still have some when i have the money but i really want to look at pricing wise for my favorite. albino spider bumble bee and a few other. Kevin is also helping me out with this but i figured i would ask. I am in the maritimes so preferably a breeder closer to me as shipping proably wouldnt be as expensive.
i dont want to start a possible fight of this ones better or this ones better or anything soif you guys know of one please pm me that saves possible hurt feelings. i just dont know where to begin and if i google myself i would have no clue if trustworthy or not.

thanks

Why not check Kijiji? There are usually at least a dozen there every day that need a good home.

UPDATE: I just checked Kijiji Moncton and I was right, there are at least a dozen for sale, some as young as a few months old.

So you started out wanting a ball and now something else?
Decide what you want then type it into your local kijiji. Its easy.

In 2 min I found a few boas and a couple kings right in your area. Just look a bit. They are there.

i would love to go to a expo cause im a toucher (yes i know i cannot touch at expos really but i can see and touch container when noones looking. See thats gonna be my problem if i just see something in pictures yes its pretty and ilove it but i dont "know" it. its weird and i dont know all my option and expo would open my eyes even more to the ball python world. Right now though i am soo strongly leaning to the orange ghost which i did not know existed till a couple hours ago and i absolutely love it.
i think my main concern is in person i can see if snakes tries to bite me where in pics i cant see the temperment makes me nervous.

but i have not changed my mind in breed just type in the ball python world. i was originally hellbound set i only wanted an albino or a pied and my list keeps getting bigger lol

i am sorry i confused you all my terminolgy is all wrong 90 percent the time.
i thought royals where normals. im such a noob my ball python knowledge is my snakes name is ted he eats mice should eat rats but wont hes a pig and he poops and a little humidity and temp knowledge in there. thats it lol. so please excuseme if it sounds like i dont know what im talking about cause i really proably dont know how to explain it right in snake terms. lol

Taking advice from Jody sure didn't help.

No offence but you do sound like you have a lot to research.
Royals range in price from $50- thousands. Some of the ugliest morphs are super expensive and some o the cheap ones are the best looking. Its all personal choice. I personaly like normals ,pastels and desert. 2 of those are cheap. I would go on the python area of this site and read many many threads. You will find care guides and debates about equipment. Learn as much as you can before you shop. Good luck.

oh care wise isnt an issue really now we'v gone through worst with ted and learned alot on way, its me deciding what one i want and having a general idea of cost wise what each one generally can could go for. Making the decision for a certain coloring is hard because i can t see it in person thats wheremy problem is everythingl looks different in pictures what might look ugly in picture is actually beautiful or vice versa thats what im worried about and hesitant of

no i know that didnt help at all we learned alot on our own because his info just didnt seem common sense. like your telling me he eats rats but yet everytimei try to feed him rat he doesnt bother with it but yet as soon as we walked in room with a mouse he was all set to go from 15 ft away, plus themites info they gave me cause he had mites, also all the heating and humidity and enclosure size was wrong. we learned it allon our own cause im looking at snake thinking something wrong and everything we where told was basically wrong lol

With swtiching to rats you have to wait the snake out, if you offer a rat and then offer a mouse if he doesnt eat he will learn that if he waits he gets what he wants. Offer a rat and if he doesnt eat remove it and dispose of it, then 14 days later offer another and repeat until he is hungry enought to eat it :)

ya kevin told us to scent the rat cause i want to change him to frozen thawed too. so thats what my plan is for his next meal. my bf likes buying 3mice a week and feeding him live. feeding him live rats makes me nervous but likei said his next meal hes getting a scented rat. iam even making him suffer he had a mouse on friday and normally hed have another today and he has to wait till friday if not a little after that to make sure hes good and hungry.

i has thinking of buying one frozen mouse so i could use it to scent asmany rats as i need to until he takes them himself without scent.

Ok again not meaning to offend but....
Maybe you should learn to care for your current snake properly before getting another.
Bad husbandry on all aspects. Your putting that poor snake through hell trying to learn to take care of him. You should have learned before buying so save your next snake from suffering and wait until you get this snakes care under your belt.

our current snake wasnt us. i did research before and bout the things needed from my research and the guy at pet store was like no you dont need none of that you only need this and you dont need tank that big you just need this smaller tank. than we get him home and he comes home with mites got rid ofmites and he started shed it was during that shed we realized hey this is wrong than we went back to everything i had bought (i didnt return in case i needed any of it) and all the info i had learned before pet store guy got ahold of me with some things kevin has taught me. teds second shed once we fixed everything all come off in one day not a biglong strip still in pieces but big huge pieces. so for my first snake it was my stupidity for listening to the pet store guy. Even kevin made comment about thats what i get for listening to jodi which was pet store guy.

no offence was taken at all and i do still have tons to learn,i should ofknown better with ted and did what i was prepared to do to begin with not what the "professional" told me. so it looks really bad that i was a bad momma with ted to begin with trust me we'v made it up to him since lol.

another thing too is ted's not my snake he's my bf's snake and so i can only do so much if i had my way ted would be going into a tub too, but my bf doesnt want to take him from his glass tank cause than everyone can see him and how nicely its decorated. we have faught about this to no end. Like i spray teds tank whenever humidity is low my bf doesnt want me too cause he thinks itll give the snake a cold.
he didnt want to change the top of the tank with is all wire as soon as he got the big tank i told him you can have that top and keep humidity. sure enough so hes atleast given in amd has let me cover it, but theres only somuch i can do with ted i really have no say and i feel badly for him.

my snake i am going to do the best of my ability i have absolute complete say on my snake and its starting off right not what everyone else thinks or says imnot going for a decoration for the house for everyone to talk about. imgoing for me and especially my snake to be happy and content and incrediably healthy.
