Aren't the infernalis garter snakes amazing. < My avatar is a San Fransisco Garter Snake and if i'm not misstaken they are different types of Garter Snakes but look the same.

Wayne do you breed them? I'd take that over a white one :D

GarterPython
05-06-12, 09:28 PM
I'm not sure if you want one. From the research that I have done and the talking that I have done with wayne they are not nice. I think Wayne said he has worked with them for years and he still hasn't had a nice one.

Trollbie

Well it could be my one snake only to look at! Penelope and Zeus are my holding snakes lol

Typically biters and musk flingers..

To answer your question, it's still debatable with the Infernalis / tetrataenia gene pool, they are so close same range, same diet, same habitat, the only difference being interconnecting black bands on the Infernalis, they are absent on the tetrataenia, but other than that, they are identical in every way.

Okay. I was looking into getting one for a ong time but they are mean and I wanted a nice holding snake. Plus they are really hard to find in Canada.

No I hate cockroaches too. I was just teasing you. The one thing I would get first would definitly be a Carpet Python or a Hognose.

That is the correct range, depending on colour.

there are some born with a drab yellow back stripe, and it never turns blue, those go for half of the price the neon blue ones cost.

I like them all. They are soo cute. Hubby likes the flame, or the blue stripes, but I'd be happy just having a couple checkereds or whatever would live happily with me : ) being stared at, feeding them all the time...etc. lol

Do the yellow stripes breed out blue stripes?

Yes, crossing the yellow with the blue muddies up the colour.
