First time posting so I sure hope I'm in the right place!

I just bought a 100% Het Albino ball python today, can someone explain how that works?
And what would I need to breed him to to get Albino babies in the clutch, besides an Albino. Would another Het Albino work?

Ok the way this works from what I can tell is that the term het simply means that he carries that gene without manifesting the trait. This usually happens when youre dealing with recessive genes. It takes both parents carrying the gene to produce that trait in the offspring. You will have to get at least another het to do this. Actually I find genetics to be quite fun as Im working on a breeding project myself with my Corns.

Het. means nothing unless you want to breed though. If you buy it just as a pet and don't ever plan to breed, I wouldn't pay any extra because it's het so and so. Congrats on the Python though!

You are right in that if youre going to keep this snake as a pet and not breed him then het means nothing.

het. albino to het. albino:
25% Normal
50% Het. Albino
25% Albino

het. albino to albino:
50% het. albino
50% albino

The percentages are per egg; So if you have a clutch of eggs, each egg has a _% of turning out het. albino or albino.
