I just started looking into them. I found this website that was pretty informative, without being too in-depth. Take a look, and let's start a discussion!
Scaleless Texas Ratsnakes - Notes and a photographic reference. (http://www.ratsnakezone.com/ratsnake-information/112.html)
What are your thoughts? I think they're pretty cool. It is kind of weird to see the snakes without scales, but I'd totally own one!
I was looking a little more and this website contradicts the first and says the scaleless snakes lack keratin.
Soft epidermis of a scaleless snake ... [Eur J Histochem. 2007 Apr-Jun] - PubMed - NCBI (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17664165)
Here are some interesting random photos of scaleless normally scaled animals:

Not a fan... they look like they would feel like a pinky mouse.
Having said that the only scaleless reps we have here are Death Adders and I'm not so keen to have a feel and test my theory.

Mixed feelings really. I think it really pushes the limits of "genetic creativity," for lack of a better term. On the other hand, I like things outside the norm. (Not Norm66. Lol)

Well I certainly hope you're not thinking INSIDE the Norm66. Anatomy is gross. :D

I admit, my mind went straight to the digestive tract with that post, but seriously, the human body is SO GROSS! Think about it: Feet, finger nails, arm pits, elbows, ears....

You're concerned with those? I'll go straight to the real weird ones.

Honestly, I am not a huge fan of feet, at all. But even they can be sexy on some women. I'm perfectly fine with all the other parts of a woman you mentioned (when groomed properly, lol) I may be French, but..... I draw the line at body hair. Lol

People who get grossed out by feet have told me I have pretty feet lol. I think mine are gross but only because I go barefoot or in flip flops so they're always dirty :D

How'd I get dragged into a thread about scaleless snakes? LOL.
I don't know much about them myself. They look neat but that's all I know.

Ick, feet are gross. I don't like feet at all....and they usually smell. LOL.
As for the scaleless snakes, I think the ratsnakes are cute, and the silkback beardies are awesome...but I don't really care for the scaleless rattler. One of the things that I love most about rattlesnakes are the heavily keeled scales and the supraocular ridge scale that makes them look like they are glaring at you.

I always make it a point to touch the scaleless snakes at reptile expos if there are any. The feel of it is really, really strange.
Also, I have pretty feet too.

I held a scaleless Texas ratsnake once...it was bizarre but kind of soft and warm. It wasn't unpleasant...just weird. They are neat though. :)

I want to feel one! I found it interesting they were found in the wild like this.
I have ugly feet, i think. they are also large! My cousin told me i had "sausage toes" lol
they look good in heels though...but what girl's doesn't? Wish they were comfortable.

The more i look them up, the more i like them. I think their little wrinkles are soo cute! Like, little old people snakes! hehe
I will probably never have one, and i disagree with the 6th layer of breeding lines they did to get some of them (jeez 6 interbreedings?) but they *are* hecka cute!
