I wanted to install flexiwatt heat tape on my Rubbermaids and get rid of the heat pads and I'm gonna be buying a 41qt tub so I would like to know more or less how big even though I was thinking maybe a piece of tape about 3feet long and I'm not sure on width and also how many watts should I get it and I was reading that youll need a thermostat so I would like to know what's some good thermostats to buy and where to buy the best flexiwatt tape....thanks

you only need 1ft of 11inch heat tape with a 41qt tub. 11 inch heat tape is 20 watts per foot and yes u need a thermostat to control the temp of the heat tape you can get all of these items online at the bean farm herpstat or helix thermostats are the best imo.

4" tape will do you. 11" is overkill.

Here's how I do it:
Snake Rack (http://www.strictlyballs.ca/snakerack.htm)

4'' can work aswell depending on your average room temp , if it is below 70 i would go with 11''
