View Full Version : Excited!! New snake on the way!!!
I just ordered and payed for my new female superdwarf Het albino female retic... : ) she was from a pair of CB Superdwarf parents and the babies weighted from 32-76 grams and are eating and shedding great and her parents are barely hitting 8 feet each...As soon as I get pics I'll post them up :)

Congrats! If you don't mind, who was the breeder and what did you pay? My SD is my absolute favorite of my snakes.
PS, its not full SD if its het albino, expect it to be a bit larger than a typical SD. As long as its 50+% it won't get that much bigger.

Can u explain more about the gene pool on these guys @millertime....I was told they're 66% het for albino but I knew that they probably couldn't be 100% pure SD if it's het for albino and both parents weren't already albino

If they were 66% het and they produced albinos from the clutch, then it was a het x het pairing meaning your new little girl is also 66% het. The parents were probably either 50% SD or 75% SD. Mainland x 100% SD = 50% SD. 50% SD x 100% SD = 75% SD. so on and so forth.
I found the add you're talking about, sounds like it was a 50% to 50%, because those are kinda large for superdwarf crosses. I would expect a similar size from your girl, do you know what she weighed when born?
Im not sure I didn't get the full scoop on her yet but I would actually like a pure SD : / that's the whole point right? I didn't really want a cross...
Do you think it's worth still bringing in millertime??

If all you want is a pure superdwarf then no, its not. One of the retic camps thinks the guy you bought from is a POS too, hes got a thread in the BOI, search Brian Shelton. Still waiting to hear from the other group but I know one member got screwed on a deal with him.

Right.
if I were you I would see if she's been shipped yet and if she hasn't ask for your money back because you found one you like more. If not I dunno what to tell ya, I would just keep her if it were me, I'm sure the snake is fine, just not exactly what you want. Don't overfeed her and she won't reach monster proportions.

She looks very good. I honestly can't see any problems with her in the pictures. Good coloration, good body size, however she definitely isn't pure SD sized. She's putting on size for being 2 months old. Good news is she's definitely too small to be mainland.
ok well that sounds great...so whats your take on her millertime? the eggs were a bit smaller than a tangerine he said and the heaviest baby was 73 grams i believe and the parents were from a breeder in Canada....
