For some reason, it seems like Bredlis are not very popular. At least to me it always seemed like they were left in the "other carpet pythons not too many people care about" category from the more popular ones. I could be completely mistaken on this. Maybe they don't command a high price like all fancy jags and zebras, so not as many people breed them? In any case, I've only recently started paying attention to them, and they are actually quite amazing. Who has a Bredli out there? What do you think of them? I'm starting to wonder if a Bredli is in my future.

I have a 09 female and she is amazing. My buddy Shawn just got a male. I agree they are way under rated. Outside of Diamonds they are my second favorite Carpets. Well actually they are no longer in the Carpet family they are their own species. Anyway mine this mellow as can be. She always right at her cage door wanting out when i go in the snake room. the only time you have to be careful is when feeding. She fast as heck. She has never hiss, struck, or bit.

Any question just feel free to ask. i know we have a few other on here that have them. Freebody has one, and Shaunyboy use to keep a pair.

I agree they Bredl's are under-rated. I had one, but unfortunately had to sell him to get a species higher up on my wish list. They are beautiful snakes and are relatively easy to maintain.

Yea it seemed like the bredli used to be more popular and have higher price tag years ago. I remember going to the daytona show and wishing I could afford one. For some reason I guess like anything else, the supply is greater than the demand. Which sucks because bredli are beautiful snakes. They get a good size and have calm demeanors from everything I've heard and read.

People do breed them though, there are plenty out there. Just like with any other purchase, just get what YOU like and don't worry about price and whether or not they are a snake people "care about". Most people who are breeding, (not all) are mostly interested in making new morphs that are more expensive. So I don't think its a matter of people not caring about bredli, I think its just that people have pretty much done what they can with them since the only morph is the stripe and the hypo lines. Personally I would get a pair in a heartbeat, they have always been a favorite of mine since I started keeping snakes. Don't know why I haven't got some yet though, I really like the size they get and I'm a big fan of earth tones. You may have just convinced me to get some bredli down the line! lol

OK, now I don't want one... oh no... now it's at the level of must have one. I think the only solution is to get a bredli, diamond, jungle, IJ, and inland. I've got the coastal covered already. But seriously. Both of you had/have killer bredlis. I love the head shape.

The more I look at these guys the more I want one. I've just got so many other snakes on my want list that are higher up I won't be getting one just yet.

I've considered a pair of hypos myself mate... unfortunately or rather fortunately I'm spoilt for choice when it comes to Morelias making the decisions rather difficult.
