i plan on getting a motley boa soon but i have afew questions with enclosures and other snakes. can a motley boa be put in the same cage with another boa (not the same kind)? and do motleys have any "special needs" such as hides, ground, tress, etc.
Snakes really need to be kept separately for a number of reasons. Motley is just a color/pattern morph, the snake's needs is the same as a normal boa constrictor. Check out some care-sheets online, I PM'd you a good one since it's on another forum.

Norm covered it. Keep it like your other boa. As for cohabitation I am not getting into that one.

Yup don't do it. Get another viv. I tried this with a mating pair and although they didn't eat each other my male now has changed his personality and is a bit more unpredictable.
Not worth it .
