I found a listing by a Air Force Reserveman looking to sell his pair of JCP's before he goes on deployment. Here is what he emailed me, sent pics as well but I have no idea of how to post them, I guess I could email them. Im thinking about getting them, but need some info first about what to expect.

$90 for the female.
$60 for the male.
$150 snakes together without set up.
$400 everything including set up, snakes and 8 feedings for female(frozen rat pups).

Female is 23.5 inches.
Male is 43.5 inches.

Price negotiable on set up, not on snakes.

Set up comes with 29 gallon tall tank, substrate, perch, and two hides, hearing lamp with brand new bulb. Screen lid and clips to keep screen lid secure.

Snakes were housed together when we purchased them so we have always kept them together, very good eaters male eats adult mouse, female eats rat pup once every two weeks, both shed wonderfully.

What do you think? I am moving to a new apartment soon from my parents house, and will have room for something other than the kenyan I have now.

Sounds like a good deal to me. But i would separate them if you get them.

I would want them separated, a male and female are gonna mate and if the female isnt big enough you are looking at egg binding and possibly a dead snake, prices sound good tho :)

I will get some pics up from what they sent when I get home, the school I teach at blocks most sites and I can't upload them. Snakes look good, the guy and his wife have a good many snakes, but he wants to get rid of some so she isn't tied down with 6 snakes and 2 young kids while he is overseas. Trying to talk my parents into letting me get them now and when I leave in June they will be going with me.

Jump on it. The second one looks like it might be a Jag. They are very nice and at that price you can go wrong. Plus he holding both in the pictures that always a good sign they are tame.

go for just the snakes, and extra 250 bucks for a tiny tank, some food and some equipment is not worth it, For 250 bucks i could build you 3-4 4x2x2 enclosures

I was thinking the same thing. My dad is great at building stuff so it wouldn't be hard for him to help me with two enclosures. Only issue is im already having problems finding a snake friendly apartment.

On that subject dont introduce them as snakes, Ask the landlords how they feel about aquariums and natural Vivaria as well as tank pets once if they are cool with that then mention Reptiles and amphibians main point is keep everything as broad as possible, Once you have in writing that tank animals are ok, then as long as you dont break the law or your lease there is not to much they can do

thats what i did

1st. carpet may be a jungle, but at first glance i thought it may be a diamond jungle

2nd.carpet definatly has something thats not jungle going on with its pattern

both are very good looking carpets

if you could get pictures of the parents,it may shed some light on their true genetics

imo,its a great price for such nice looking carpets mate

cheers shaun

I agree with everyone, those are nice looking carpets. Definitely separate them though, keeping them together could lead to too many problems. Like shaun said, see if you can get pics and info on their parents. That should shed some light on what they exactly are if you plan to breed down the line.

If you like them, get them. Nobody else can tell you what you like and don't like. Skip the tank though. That stuff probably wouldn't even cost $250 to buy new.

I was just looking for somebody that could tell me if they were healthy looking. Trust me, I like them, and want them, just don't know if its a good time.

Yep... both snakes are Jungle'ish, beyond that without background info it's a guessing game.

They both look healthy from the pics though.
