When will it get here?

So this guy is really making me mad. My savannah monitor enclosure was suppose to be ready 3 weeks ago and it still inst done. I ordered it from the reptile store. So the guy who owns the reptile store has a contract with a guy in my area to make PVC enclosures. They are very very nice and keeping the humidity in them would be super easy as there are no cracks at all! and There are vents you can open and shut, very nice.

My Sav Cassie is really depressed in her current enclosure. its just not right for her nothing to do at all. I just feel bad.


So to Steph I know you are going to read this. i am putting the sav enclosure in another corner so i can keep Cassie in her current enclosure while the temps and everything stabilize for 2-3 days. So that is definitely great news because not a lot of stress.

The bottom will have leaf litter everywhere. The basking temps will be around 145F she likes them hot. Ill keep the humidity like it is in her current enclosure 75% The night time temps will be 75F around there.

Okay so now here is the big question, leaf litter do i have to cover it all? she always puts it in one corner and doesn't like to walk on it. I don't know why, I think she doesn't like it at all. I was thinking of covering all the dirt will childrens play sand like not mixing it in so it gives it a nice sandy look. or is soil more effective? i might include a waterfall in the corner though! Do you guys have any ideas for this enclosure? i would love to hear them!

You definitely want to mix it together. The dirt and sand act with each other to hold a nice burrow.

Yeah. he said that hes going to give me deals on all the food now because im a good customer. he also said he will lend me a male sav if i ever decide to breed cassie... so thats good news

I still think you should ask he give you a lowered price on the enclosure. If I recall you're paying $1200 for it, right? He'll be a whole month late in giving it you. He owes you a discount IMO....

meh! im getting unenployment... i get 600 dollars every 2 weeks for doing nothing. in a month of so i will be going back to construction so thats like 1500 every 2 weeks! money isnt really an issue. I just want to do whats best for my sav, she deserves the world! this is not even going to be the main enclosure, in like 5 years i plan to build her one thats a whole room!

haha yeah! but in canada i pay into it when i work, its unenployment insurance not welfare. I go on it in the winter but not next year because im going back to school for an electrician

Actually, HE should be worried about not screwing up a relationship with you! You're HIS customer! So he should be aiming to make you happy and satisfied with the produces he sells. He is a month overdue on a product you were promised to receive weeks ago. He owes you a discount. If he's a good business owner, he'll know that.

Whoever is building it should be the one giving a discount. And it would be in the store owner's best interest to do business with someone who can actually stick to their own timelines.

Okay so there was a sportsman show this weekend in sudbury.
So this reptile shop called BJs reptiles. set up a booth there to advertise there store and try to get the community on reptiles because everyone here is scared.
He wanted to have a little side booth on just enclosures! made out of pvc for every kind of reptile.

The guy that he had ordered them from didnt get back to him and he lost a lot of buisness, So i explained to him that my sav is depressed and that she wasnet doing good in her current one, so he called the guy and said listen, put everything on hold exept the 8x4 my client needs it really bad. So it should be here by the end of this week.

Plus hes saying i can borrow a male savannah monitor from him if i ever want to breed. so thats great......

Hes a nice old man and i respect him
