We picked up a sweetheart 50% Superdwarf Tiger Reticulated Python today. I fell in love with the little guy, and the price was right. Very nice breeder, this was his first clutch of retics ever. I think we might have been his first buyers, and he seemed as excited about it as we were! :)

Thanks! Forgot to add he hatched 3/30/12, weighed 64gm. He weighed in at 73gm this evening. I cannot wait until he's settled in and has eaten, I want to get started handling him as much as we can without stressing him out. He's super curious and sweet. :-)

Like I told Norm, he's a great example of a tiger. A perfect classic pattern. He shouldn't get much bigger than 8 feet but expect him to jump prey sizes quickly for a while. I just love my girl's attitude and I can't wait ti get her a mate.

He won't get any bigger than that even though he's only 50% superdwarf? Awesome!!!

Thanks all! I am basically sitting on my hands to give him time to settle in. He's so dang cute I just want to snuggle him! lol Well, as much as you can snuggle a snake. Norm joked yesterday that I must be the golden child because I still haven't been bit. He was as docile as can be yesterday. Of course, Jerome (our jcp) was the day we got him, too. lol

You might be surprised just how calm he may turn out to be. One thing that I noticed is that all of the XX% SDs seemed to be a little calmer, and a little less flighty than the 100% SDs.
It will be interesting to see Kyle. All of ours get handled pretty frequently and Jerome is the only one I'd classify as flighty but even he's learning not to bite.
