Does anyone breed them? Like Blizzard corns? If you do, or know of someone, let me know. I've decided that I want a white snake... :wacky: Preferably corn.

ouchies... I'll keep you in mind for sure! I do like that they stay small.

But before I spend that much money I should make sure that baby Zeus is ok and that I won't have to spend money on a vet trip or a fogger.

How big of an enclosure would I need?

1. It's piebald, not pebald.
1. Piebalds are $500 not "thousands".
2. Piebalds are not completely white snakes.

You fail thrice.

Kingsnakechris

Forgive me, I'm on a mobile touch screen, second I have seen PIEBALD's go for ALOT MORE then 500. I only failed once.

mykee

You.
Failed.
Thrice.
Mobile or not.
You made three errors in one sentence. Must be some kind of record.
1. Piebalds are $500 now. They were "thousands" many years ago. No more.
2. Do you have a mobile device with a broken "E"?
3. Piebalds still aren't all white. Lucies are.

Ok then, I failed thricE. feel better?

How big of an enclosure would I need?

for this species, a 20 gallon size tank is plenty.

Mykee, I've only been to a few expos, but the piebalds I've seen go for $1,000 or more. The 100% hets go for $500-$900. Where can you get them for $500? I'm interested in the piebald gene.

I was just at an expo 2 weeks ago and I saw 4 or 5 good looking piebalds going for $300-$400 and most of the others where all around $600. Although there was 2-3 that where closer to $1000 but they where AMAZING.

Piebalds are really cheap now, and this is in Canada even. No doubt you can find them under $500 in the states if you look hard enough.

Kat, you've seen them as low as $300-400?? I see them go for $600-800 around me. Males are usually in the $600-750 range and females around $800+. If I saw a pied for $300, I'd snatch that up in a second.

The Expo in Manchester New Hampshire had a few good looking ones for $300-$400. I will most likely be getting one or 2 after we are done moving. Let me see if I can remember the breeder and I will PM you the info. I spoke to them a bit so I think I remember but let me double check. I also know of one guy that sells males for $250 and females for $350 but he doesn't get them often.

I'm also going to weigh in and point out that I've never seen a piebald for under $500. I've usually seen them in the $700-800 range. I'll make it a point to check prices at the Repticon show in Birmingham this summer.

Oh wow...$250 for a male pied would be awesome!!! I'm getting a good tax refund this year, and promised my friend I'd buy a baby Cryptelyptrops insularis from him when his female gives birth, but I could probably afford a pied too if they're that affordable now. :)

You guys are crazy...I think you need to look into shipping people. I'd ship across the country to get a good priced pied from a reputable person. Even with shipping costs it'll still be cheaper.
