I'm not much of a corn snake person, but in my quest to educate people about snakes, I knew that I needed one of these as a great place to start people off with a calm, docile, inquisitive, manageable sized snake. I generally like buying from smaller, yet still well established and respected breeders so I keep my eyes open. When Joanna (Mojo is her screenname, also obviously where the snake got her name from) joined the board and posted pictures of her stunning Mango I knew I had found the breeder I was looking for. I originally wanted one exactly like Mango, but when I spoke with Jo she didn't have any of the same morph available anymore (Amel Motley, can be seen here (http://web.me.com/manmountaininc/MojoHerps/My_Collection_1.html#4)). I got to looking at her 2011 offspring because I knew I didn't want a 2012 because IMO they're too small, but a yearling is about perfect for me to start with. I also knew they would be well established by this point. I searched through what she had left and this one just blew me away by how perfect its pattern was and I loved the head pattern. I paid for her and Jo graciously agreed to hold her until the weather warmed up (it was late November or early December).
Fast forward to two weeks ago and I paid for her and arranged to have her shipped yesterday (4/10) so I could pick her up today (4/11, its still today for me despite the actual time). Well I got to the FedEx express pick up location and let me say Mojo did not disappoint. She looks even better in person than on the computer, and she did what I bought her to do, educate people. When I showed up a few of the employees asked if I could take her out to show them and I obliged, seeing this as a perfect opportunity for a little education. They were just as blown away with how beautiful she is as I was and they all seemed very interested in what I had to say about how snakes just want to be left alone and are not inherently evil creatures, just solitary and how the problem in the everglades is not a result of people releasing their pets, but in fact a side effect of Hurricane Andrew destroying an animal holding facility with a ton of Burms.
ANYWAYS...
without further ado (thanks to all who have read this far) I present Mojo, my 2011 Motley Cornsnake.

yes, those are hides constructed from legos as trollbie and I discussed yesterday, and yes, that is a lego triceratops head concealing the entrance to that hide.
