I'm planning to move my Monty into a larger enclosure to match his growth in the next few weeks, and I would like your thoughts. I've read that changes like this can really throw them off, including feeding issues, etc. So I was thinking I could set up the new home and let him explore it a few times when he is out and about before leaving him in it. It will also have tons of cover and numerous hides so he won't feel exposed.

He is pretty brave when it comes to exploring, he's never curled in a ball, and consistently eats like a little piggy.

What do you think? What would be the best way to make the move as stress-free as possible?

Thanks

feed him a good meal and give him a chance to digest it in his familiar enclosure, then move him. If he goes off his food for a bit you know he's ok, and he'll get used to the new viv in no time!!

As long as you have places that are secure, you should have no problem. Unless of course the new enclosure is gigantic.

I agree with what they wrote. Once you introduce it to its new home, leave it alone for a few days if you're concerned with how it will adjust to its new surroundings. How big is this new enclosure?
