anyone here have any experience with these guys? I've got an opportunity to pick up an 09 that was a Tom Crutchfield baby for a steal and I'm wondering what they're like. They've always intrigued me as one of the closest relatives to retics, but I don't know anybody that has them. Basic search has yielded they're really pretty similar to SD retics in just about every aspect from temper, husbandry requirements, growth rate, age of maturity, so on. I just want to get a first hand perspective.

They are mean as babies but with time and handling them get quite docile. They arent to common and breeding them isnt too common either. There are several adults and babies available from a large breeder near Tom for around 400-500. Good luck. They are an amazing snake!

Thanks Chad, I'm talking with the guy about his now, sounds like its out of the bitey, poo flinging stage and he said its a great eater.

Probably still a baby. Price is important. Is this a local transaction? Be careful if its an online transaction. Poo flinging will go away in time. Good luck and hope you can obtain one of the cooler pythons out there.

Yeah its online, I'm getting pictures which I'll post on here as soon as I get them. I'm doing my due diligence on this one because there aren't too many of these CBB out there. He says its an 09, we'll see what the pictures tell.

I've always been interested in timors as cooler alternetative to the SD retic myself. If a retic morph came out looking like a timor it would be worth insane amounts :D
I had a chance at some CB timors last year, 2 chances actually. Seems they are fine tuning the breeding this species lately. Good luck getting one, I would love to hear your thoughts on keeping them!

Any updates? Do you mind sharing your contact with me? Like you said, there isnt many out there. What is his asking price? Does he has any feedback on Fauna?

Didn't hear from him last night, a friend actually found the guy for me, he's from phoenix, all my friend gave me was a number so I'm not sure if he's on fauna.
