I had to change Po's substrate because the eco earth was getting too dusty and I noticed it getting into her/his eyes and nostrils. I've switched to a care-fresh type bedding now. S/he's having fun exploring right now.

I don't understand how Eco Earth can get too dusty.

I was thinking the same. I don't know the first thing about skink husbandry, but a quick spray would solve the dust, no?

What about Repti-Bark? No dust and you keep the naturalistic look and feel.

It was dusty for me. But regardless of dust, it was getting into her eyes and nostrils.

I've always used aspen bedding for my BTS. I find the carefresh to be too light for when they are full grown. Mine is 2 feet long and heavy and he just kind of sinks through carefresh. Cute BTS you have there!
