Ice wouldnt eat for 3 months so I try to jus put the rats face against hers, she pushed away. The when I reached in the tank, after that, she bit me, so I put the rat in after that nd she grabbed nd strangled then ate it. I noticed it didnt even budge her stomach so I dangled another after that nd she took that one too. Dis was her first feeds in three months, didI f force her or help her??? And will she bite me again in weeks when I reach back in to handle???

1. don't smash rats into a snake's face. Do you want us to smash food into yours because you're not hungry?

2. She shouldn't bite you again. Don't handle rats previous to the attempt though or she'll probably get you.

3. If a snake hasn't eaten in months I would refrain from the double offering. It can stress her system and she could regurge. The smaller meal was fine.

A lot of snakes will refuse food for a few months starting in November/December until March/April. Depending on age the snake might have been in breeding mode. The best thing to do is to double check your set up. Make sure everything is ok ( temps, humidity) If everything is ok and the snake is still refusing to eat just offer food every 10-14 days and once they are hungry they will eat.
