After 5 million miles of hiking through mountains and dester. This little guy fell out of the garage door when it was opened. I've searched and searched and so far I think I narrowed it down to 3 species, but none really look identical.

^^^^^
as soon as i started reading this thread,i immediatly started to picture you randy.....
trecking over miles of sweltering desert, hiking up mountains, scaling cliffs, scrambling over ridges, finally getting to the top and.....
NOTHING:shocked:
so,you then.....
repeat the proccess in reverse.....
upturning an empty water canteen,to find you've no more water, but your only a mile or so from home, you then precede to put your hiking gear in the garage,and.....
HEY PRESTO.....
a snake falls from the sky,to welcome you home
poor wee guy looks like he's had a very tough time of it,judging by all the chunks missing from his body
apart from the bite/crawling into a sharp thing, type marks, imo he looks quite healthy
cheers shaun :D
P.S.nice find, you earned it though mate

a Glossy Snake

or, a Coachwhip Snake

I would say the coachwhip based on the similarity in the structure of the head.

Coachwhip. Thanks Alessia. I was going through snakes of arizona and didn't see that one. I was leaning towards glossy or sonoran night snake.

That def. Looks like A coachwhip. I used to catch them all the time when I was younger. I live out by the white tank mountains and I love field herping out there. There really hard to get a decent picture of because of how fast they are, some of them have a really nasty Temper as well. Awesome find! Thanks for posting the pics!

He was very, very angry! Even when he wasn't trapped he was aggresively striking at me.

Also look at the eyes on the pic of the coachwhip, looks identical to the one you found.

Yeah. I've only found one that didn't attempt to take my finger off, that was about 9 years ago.

That's a coachwhip you found there, Randy. Coachwhips are really cool little snakes- very fast and very smart.

I'm gonna go with coachwhip as well, notice how the pattern fades and disappears the further down the snake you get? Plus head structure and eye color is spot on.
