Not once but twice over the last two days I have checked on my females and found one looking not right. Yesterday it was a rainbow Boa full on upside down including her head. Opened the door nothing, opened the hide nothing, touched her and blink - flip - "what, why are you looking at me, I was just getting comfy"

Tonight I had a breeder friend over and was showing off my gravid BCI's and again one was on her side, not totally but was not looking good. We both commented this was not good and both thought she was gone. Again I opened the cage - nothing, touched her and flip - "what you looking at?"

I'm just hoping third time is not the charm!! ;):);)

check your heating system has not malfunctioned

too much heat can cause snakes to manifest neuro issues

it leads to death if not caught in time

only other reason i can think of a female being inverted/belly up,is she's gravid

cheers shaun

Definitely not a neuro issue, they are gravid or in the process of becoming gravid. Something I see pretty much every year and still makes my heart skip a beat until I know they are OK.

I know with pythons they flip to thermoregulate the eggs when they're gravid, could your boas be doing the same thing?

just with no eggs since they're boas
