People keep asking me if my monitors interact,
Watch Littlefoot's left hand close, just before Cera takes off.

I don't want to read too much into anything, but he definitely laid his head on her and stroked her back with his hand.
I filmed a bunch of them running around, but that clip is the best part.

My lacertas interact like that all the time it's so cool to see. Sometimes momma will cuddle against my male or lick food off his chin or she sits on top of him. They also sleep cuddled together in the same hide. He gives her 'love bites' and sometimes she kicks him off of where he's sitting. If I remove her from the enclosure he goes frantic and will refuse food will get very aggressive until we put her back then he inspects her and then he's back to normal

This clip is incredible, Wayne. Young Love.
That is really cool Wayne. Its pretty hard not to see social interaction in those movements. Awesome.

I don't think I will ever keep a solo monitor again after this.

Wayne, cool behavior you caught on tape. It is the start of one asserting dominance over the other. Something you see often when housing varanids together especially when they are both seeking the same optimal basking spot.
Is it "social interaction"? Depends on what you consider social interaction. I do not consider displays of dominance as a social behavior.Thats just my opinion. Not a possitive one anyway. What you see in the vid is no show of love or affection, that is for sure. Looks cute but has a much different meaning that what it looks like.
