Wow, this is the biggest welcome I think I have ever gotten from a forum! Thank s guys! Alessia, and Marvelfreak I have a very large collection, and have been keeping some kind of snake or turtle since I can remember. I started off with red eared sliders that my grandmother used to buy for me from Woolworths for 50 cents each. That should say a bit about my age, lol. Then growing up in New Orleans, I became infatuated with snakes. My first 2 snakes were Speckled Kings, and that passion never stopped. I bred and sold snakes wholesale for many years, but after a divorce I took a long break. Only keeping one or two snakes as pets. The joy of breeding is in my viens and it didn't take long before I had to start again. I love Kings, but I also have many Corns, and other colubrids. I am super busy these days, as I drive a truck at night for about 11 hours, and taking care of my collection uses up the remainder of time, then I have to find time for my family, lol. Hope to see you guys in the threads, and I'll try to post some pics of some of my babies!

You can call me Chuck and yeah that says a lot about your age. I am guessing you have a few years on me.lol That just means your full of knowledge and good advice. :)

Yeah. I was amazed when I joined. That sucked me right in and now I'm on here all the time. If you have a question, you get thoughtful replies right away. If you just want to chat snakes and joke around, there's plenty of that too. If you have an opinion, you'll get an honest critique from many different angles and viewpoints. I never thought a forum could have as much of a sense of community as this one does.

"Woolworth's?!" Are you kidding me? My sisters would take me there on the city bus for candy. I remember getting either gum in the shape of a huge (To a 4yr old) cheeseburger made of bubble gum. Like pure sugar! And of course the Jolly Rancher sticks, watermelon of course.

'fish, welcome to SSNAKESs and thanks for prompting that memory. Those were really good days.
