Wow! I just love Epicrates! The head scales are hu-uge! Like plates of armor! Reminiscent of a cobra almost.

Thanks! Regarding metachrosis, I haven't seen any noticeable color changes with these guys. The insulars are in the same genus as the mainland rainbows, but they look/act more like tree boas than the mainland rainbows, imo.

Thanks for that. Now that I think, I bet most pictures I've seen of subflavus have shown them in trees.
