Do corn snakes need a undertank heater under half the tank or is just a 60W bulb enough for heat??

I would go for the UTH alone.

Corn snakes are generally fine at room temp with a warm spot to aid in digestion and thermal-regulating. I would ditch the light and get a UTH 100%

I have a light and a UTH for my corn. I was just setting up another tank for a new snake and I need a UTH for the warm side still. A UTH is going to cost another 20$ and so far I only have 20$ saved up for the snake itself. I was woundering if I could take the UTH from the corns tank, because I thought he would be fine in room temp, but I guess that's a no.

It really depends what "room temp" is!!

Our house is WAAAY to cold apart from maybe 3 or 4 DAYS in every year for a corn to at ideal temps.

The tank Schatzi is in and the quarantine tank reserved for the male loaner each have a UTH pad on one end of each tank. Thats all the heat Corns need and they do great with this type of setup.
