I suppose in a perfect world, I would *LOVE* to have another Peruvian Pucallpa BCC. I had one as a kid, and his coloration was just stunning (Oh, those brick-red tails!). Maybe someday I can get the wife to consider a snake that could have 8'+ in him/her. Wish me luck! :freakedout:

I know, I know... I am craaaaving that Hogg  I really am... and yours and other people's Hoggs barely fill that void for now haha (you should really post more pics........) I'm fortunate in that I often find the animals I decide I want next for really good deals shortly after I research them and have space...things tend to fall into my lap. But there are some animals I'd really love to have eventually that are either out of my price range or experience level:
Diamond python
Boelens python
Wetar Island pit viper
C. venustus
yellow eyelash viper
Variable bush viper- blue or red
Hairy bush viper
Bateater
IJ Jaguar carpet
Blue-eyed leucistic ball python
Caramel pied ball python

Leucistic or Ivory BP, Blood Python, Hypo BRB.. uhh
Boomslang? (Too bad they'll straight up kill you lol!)
I really like my Hog Island Boa, he's pretty close to a dream snake for me. I love their smaller size, their colors, their look... I think I made a good choice. I really like Ball Pythons too, was looking into them at first, but there are so many morphs that I had trouble deciding. If money were limitless, I wouldn't mind one of these. The first time I saw a picture of the Dreamsicle a few years back, my jaw nearly dropped. But, with the rarity and price tag that goes along with it, it will remain a snake that I only have in my dreams, lol.

my one "wishlist" snake would be a leusistic cobra:

but I would never keep one, because it would never accept me as a part of its environment and let me handle it like my Spot.
My girlfriend's fav snake is a superzebra carpet python, i guess we could add that to the list too because someday i'll get one and take care of it for her to enjoy :)

I can't ever remember if I posted here before.
I got one of my wishes: my Ball Python. :D
With my space and finances, it's not realistic for me to get any more reptiles right now. Some day in the future I would probably want:
Can't decide between:
1) Spotted Python (Antaresia childreni)
Children's python (Antaresia childreni)
Stimson's Python (Antaresia stimsoni)
Then these:
2) Solomon Island Ground Boa (C. c. paulsoni) like this one: (Link) (http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/261/a/c/elysion_and_tomatoes_by_styx_leagon-d5f68k5.jpg)
3) Dekay Snake (Storeria dekayi) ('cause they are so stinkin' TINY and cute!)
4) Maybe some type of Carpet Python
Lizards:
Mostly Rhacs,
1) Gargoyle Gecko (Rhacodactylus auriculatus)
2) Leachie (Rhacodactylus leachianus)
3) Satanic Leaf-Tail Gecko (Uroplatus phantasticus)
3) Possibly some day, Crested Gecko (Rhacodactylus ciliatus) breeding project (Pinstripes, Dalmatians, etc)
4) Dream but probably not possible (near future anyway) Tegu (Tupinambis sp.)

what the crap that is a wicked looking snake!!
It's a Java Mud Snake or Dragon Snake....
The photo is deceiving as the snake only gets about 2 feet long.
They are from Thailand, live underground and are very rare in captivity.
In captivity they have been known to feed on lizards though.

I want a python with keeled scales and some monochromatic pythons as well...
Well from the thread merge... the original post above is dated 10/07/12.
I should have one of these keeled scaled pythons at my house in a few weeks, once the breeder is happy with their feeding...
http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn214/Red-Ink-Buldogs/ballarat/733f6889.jpg
I'm on a list for a pair of these monochromatic pythons for next season as the breeder did not breed them this year and he is the only breeder I know in the country that has them...
http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn214/Red-Ink-Buldogs/e50a26bd.jpg

They are native to Ontario and as far as I know they are a species at risk making it illegal (I'm not sure to what extent) to own in Ontario.

Thats my understanding, I had a few native thamnophis and neordia, they are totally legal as long as you dont get caught collecting them for your collection. You can buy them at expos, keep the info from the breeder you purchase them from and you're golden.

yeah it just makes too much sense, if its declining in the wild, why would you stop legal breeding in captivity to increase the population lol

Facilities must have approval from the Minister of Natural Resources to keep or breed scheduled wildlife listed as game wildlife or specially protected wildlife (under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act) or a species with a status of endangered, threatened, or special concern under the federal Species at Risk Act or the provincial Species at Risk in Ontario List (see Related Links, below)..
This is from This (http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/en/Business/FW/2ColumnSubPage/STEL02_168424.html) Website, and is why I believe you can't own one in Ontario. Although I may be reading it wrong

Well in real life I would like to add a Carlson snow rosy boa trio, some paint and splash morph kenyans. But if we are dreaming big I'll go with some green anacondas and Chinese alligators in huge naturalistic outdoor enclosures!
I guess I could go for a bushmaster or two as well!
While there are quite a few that I really enjoy looking at- and marveling over
Realistically there are only about three I am really interested in purchasing, in the near future.
-Mexican black King (yes, yes I know follow the crowd. I have actually owned 3 before, so I am not really following anything but my desire to get another)
- Reverse stripe king
- Sandfish skink.
- Paradox Snow/ or paradox albino sand boa - or a dark stripe sand boa (I mark these three together because I will buy which ever I find first , not all three xP )
....
After doing a bit of research - and ogling over some of the pictures here, I may at some point look into getting a jungle carpet.

Money! I could never justify spending that kind of money on one snake. I did come across a Diamond a couple years ago for only $500.00 but by the time i had the money it had been sold. My wife says once i start breeding and making some money i can save it and get me a Diamond Python. Heck the main reason i want to breed is to make some extra money so i can buy some of my favorite snakes and morphs.

2. Jungle morph Leopard gecko.
3. Bearded Dragon.
4. Rosy Boa
5. Corn Snake
6. Crested Gecko
7. Some type of tortoise (not sure which yet- I won't be getting one anytime very soon)

That's the problem Diamonds you get a lot of crosses that look just like the real thing but they're not pure breed. At that price i can guarantee it's a cross. The real pure diamonds start at $800.00 on up. I seen a few people try selling obvious crosses for $600.00 or more. They try making you feel like your getting a deal, but they are just ripping you off. The key to buying a diamond is ask to see the parent and do your home work ahead of time so you don't get taking. There's only a handful of breeder in the US that breed pure diamonds.

Very costly, and its equally as hard and expensive to import animals from Canada to the US.
