i cant get my bci to eat. i cant get her live prey and i think its what shes used to. idk what to do if anything.. advice?

Can you give us some details of how your snake is being housed? What size and type of enclosure? Temperatures? Humidity levels? How large is your animal? What size prey is she eating?

Brain casing is the process of splitting the feeder head open and pushing the brains out (yuck)

ASFs are African Short Furs, which are another choice of feeder but generally harder to find.

The blood and guts smell good to the snake which usually stimulates a good feeding response :)

I really wanted to chop up the mouse last night seeing how she was struggling with it. Can I do that? lol

well ive never cut anything open before

yea i do lol, there was a guy once on CL that had been selling live but somehow my emails to him vanished along with his post

I live in Santa Cruz :D

I don't have many options here so I'm trying to find a good place to go in SJ. I'm going this weekend, and I need some stuff for my snake.

what kinda things do you need? i usually just go to petsmart but the one in downtown sj doesnt sell live mice or rats at all, this weekend i was going to check the petsmart and petco in campbell

I don't like the PetsMart in SC. I'll look at the one in campbell and Petco by oakridge. I'll see what pet club has too. But I'd rather find a small reptile specific shop

i googled it too but got nthing :/ im on yelp right now but it doesnt say if the places sell feeders
