She's been eating for over an hour. Is that normal? She's almost to the tail but it looks like she's struggling. I think the mouse they gave me was too big, but then again I got the snake there so they should know what size she eats.

I just don't get why they'd give me a mouse that's too big. They fed the snake for 2 months...

I would wait a few days my self maybe longer but a smaller mouse not going to do any harm to her so later tommrow try an smaller mouse

As it regurged i would leave it fourteen days or so before trying a smaller prey item.

Looking at those pics i wouldnt say that the mouse was overly big tho, how far did it swallow before regurge? How long after it dissappeared did it reappear?

I agree with you on waiting to feed again Rob, but I don't think it needs to be that long. If the snake had swallowed it right down far into it's stomach then yes I would wait 14 days. From the way it sounds though it only got it a little down then spit it out. This should not have disturbed to stomach too much and feeding could probably be tried again in 3-4 days. The main reason for waiting in this case would be to avoid stressing the snake out with the food, not so much letting it build it's stomach back up.

OP- How far did the snake swallow the mouse? was it right down then he threw it up ar was it just passed the mouth?

It took her over 2 hours to get it as far as the second pic and then she gave up and spat it out. If the mouse wasn't too big, why did she?

Not sure why she spat it out. It is a little on the big size but it could have been taken. I would wait 5 days or so and try again with a smaller one. I had problems with one of mine once, he refused to bump up the meal size. Just would not take anything bigger so I had to start feeding multiple for a while. Once he ate a few meals of multiples and had a shed he ate the larger size no problem.

Hold off a little and don't bug him at all for a few days then try again with smaller. I wouldn't start worrying about anything just yet.

If i hadnt seen the pictures and just read the description then i would definitely say it was too big, with the pics it just doesnt seem to add up somewhere - sorry cant be more helpful, but i agree with Spooky, give it a week or so and try something slightly smaller and let us know what happens.

She seemed super stressed out afterwards too. Normally if I touch her she's fine. But she freaked out last night and all I did was touch her. Didn't even try to pick her up :(

Just leave her alone. Give her soem time to settle down a bit.
