I am getting a male Bloodred Motley Corn shipped to me on loan for the purpose of breeding with Schatzi, my Amel female. I have his tank set up in a completely different part of the house where he will spend his initial time in quarantine. Once that is done, I will pair these two up and see what happens. :) Im really looking forward to this whole thing and I want to personally thank you, Shmoges for making all of this possible. This is going to be a fun experience for me and Im stoked! :)

Thank you. Me too. :) Whats going to be even more fun is the down the road in a few years when I will be breeding a pair from that clutch of multihets to produce a variety of a lot of different morphs.
That was my original plan with Carl and Schatzi and now this plan looks like its back on track.

When theyre paired, yes. Right now, the male hasnt arrived yet and then theres quarantine, so it will be some time but when that happens, pics will follow. :)

I can do that, For now, all I have is pics of Schatzi. Shmoges can either post one of his male now or I can when I get him.

I know this looks rather plain compared to the stuff Ive seen on this forum but it works for a quarantine tank for a Corn. The left side has a UTH pad and both sides each has a hide. The water dish is in the middle and its all clean and ready to go.
This is the 20L that Schatzi was in before but its all been sterilized. Again, the Pepsi shells on top act as shields to keep the cats out and they are firmly anchored with the pins that are also clipping the screen top in.
I hope this will do Shmoges and if you have other suggestions, Im open to that as well.

I did a corn calc on there known genetics and he will just get normals with hets so in a couple years he could get another female and breed the babies back to the mother.
The male is bloodred motley and I "think" he is het anery because after breeding him to a snow and an anery corn we got very similar clutches, 1/2 normal 1/2 anery. I think he should pick up a het bloodred female because he will have to go to 2nd generation to get bloods I think if that makes sence?

Oh mann!!!! This is freaking awesome! Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined this snake to be so pretty. I am speechless and excited even more now that I actually saw what he looks like. This snake looks even better tha Carl did before he got sick. Whats his name?

It makes sense Shmoges, the other thing he could do is breed 2 of the offspring together since they'll be 100% het for everything and get visuals and a bunch of possible hets.

I put a moist hide in his tank for the weekend. I'd eat some salad and get some sphagnum from home depot for this guys quarantine tank so he can shed better.

I got some heat packs and I think I may tape one to the outside of the styrofoam instead of the inside since it says it gets to 140+

It seems Schatzi loves this stuff as well. I also put some in her hides since she is blue as well.

He hasn't eaten obviously, its been 7 days since his last feed and as of late I have had to put him in a shoe box with the f/t weaned rat for him to eat it otherwise it will sit over night and bloat lol. He is usually a good striker so I think other thoughts are on his mind....
I noticed my snow corn is kinda fat so I'm going to cut her food intake down to once every two weeks till she loses a little. She is about 23 oz. right now and seems a bit fatty for the last foot of her body.
Just noticed she seems to be sneezing.....hope this isn't my first corn RI. Word of caution Wiz. Make sure he isn't sneezing. They are not co-habed but there tanks are next to each other. I put an extra heat lamp on her tank, hope that helps.

Hmm maybe she just doesn't like the smell of poo on my hands when I am spot cleaning?! She never hisses though, it was a very short sneeze sound.

Hellboy just arrived this morning, was set up in the quarantine tank and went right into the warm hide where he remains to this minute. I will let him get settled in and then after he is done with his shed I will take more pics and post them for you. Once again, thank you Shmoges for putting this breeding project back on track.
