I'm trying to get everything lined up for our big move. Now I'm trying to figure out the best way to move all my animals. I'm renting a U Haul truck with a tow dolly for my car...the one that the whole car sits on. It's going to be at least an 8hr drive and most of it at night. Now that I'm trying to get my animals ready for the move, I'm honestly at a loss on how to best transport this many this distance. I have 11 snakes, with 5 of them being fairly large (around 5' and bigger) and one emperor scorpion.
Any advice or suggestions on how to transport them safely? I'm at a complete loss on what would be best for my animals.
How about in Rubbermaid tubs with heat packs taped to the bottom? That gives them a warm spot to sit on and a cool end to go if they need cooling? air holes drilled in the sides are good too :)
Never had to do a big move but this would be along the lines I would go.

Depending on where you are located and when you are going to move the advice will change a lot. Are you worried about keeping your snakes warm enough? If so then spooky gave you the right advice. However if you are concerned about the snakes getting to hot during the trip you can place frozen bottles of water wrapped in towels into parts of the tubs to allow them to cool themselves. Just make sure they are stable and won't roll onto a snake at any point. Also I would stop about 1/2 way through the trip and offer everyone water if it is going to be hot.

It shouldn't be too hot for them. My main issue is I don't know where to put them. Should I put 'em in the back of the truck? Bag them and leave them in their tubs?

Ahh yes I would put them in the back of the truck. Place a blanket under them and along the wall behind them. Strap them right into a corner. I would leave them in small tubs with extra bedding.

We moved about 6 months ago from MI to NC with 18 snakes 2 lizards and 2 kids, I put my sav in a cat carrier the other lizard in a small tub and the snakes in pillow cases. We stoped a few time to check on temps and make sure everyone was good.
