This is our adult rescue boy Axl, it seems like he has none of that pretty color to him (we had a young ball python once who died, but who was much more colorful and all of yours seem to be also). Is it because he was neglected that maybe his colors faded or maybe just "his coloring"?
This guy was fed sporadically (nothing for 3 months then 7 mice in 7 days, and that was 2 months ago) and he has numerous scars (from...?) and we plucked him from a huge pile of old shed skin and poop. We manually sloughed off the remainder of his most recent shed--along with 3 eyecaps on one eye and 2 on the other. Poor thing, no wonder he's jumpy!
We're brand new at this (we just got a male albino burmese), but we figure we can at least give him tlc and try to give him a decent home--

ITS WILD CAUGHT I HAVE ONE THAT LOOKS VERY MUCH THE SAME!
is it really possible to tell if a snake is wild caught by simply looking at a picture of it?

There is absolutely no way of telling whether a snake is WC by looking at it. You may be able to assume on is if it is an adult just up for sale and completley covered in scars, mites and in rough condition, but again, how can you prove this did not just come from a bad home? But as for colour and/or pattern, there is virtually nothing distinguishing between WC and CH/CB balls...

Nice looking snake.
I don't think geocities allows linking to pictures so your pics won't show up in the forum though.
