So we were approached by a woman looking to rehome a 5yr old male. She asked me first if I ever had any reptiles. I told her what we have and she said she felt we were a suitable home for him. "he must be taken care of" she said. He will be... no worries there. I asked her how much and she said free so of course we will take him. Then she tells me I get the 110 gallon tank with 4 lights a stand enough substrate for 2 cleanouts and some food. So a proper rehome and not a sale. . Can't wait. Post pics tomorrow!! Me and the boys are stoked :)

Leaving in an hour to go get him.
Yes I couldn't believe all the stuff she was tossing in. Obviously she truly cares about his well being after we take him. That's good karma!!!

Ok I got him so total haul was 110gal on stand with accesories. Also threw in 6 lights ,2 cricket keepers about 7-8 pieces of driftwood some bowls and hides a skull and a complete setup for frogs without the tank. Even gave me a tupperware full of superworms. All for FREE!!! Yup she dis just want him to go to a good home. I offered her some $$$ and she wouldn't have it.
Well here are a couple quick shots. I will do a proper profile in the next few days.
Say hi to Dexter!!!

Wow :) that's awesome!! I recommend putting tiles down instead of the carpet, I will never go back to carpet! He looks a little chunky! But hes still sweet :)

Fill that 110 with fish!!

Nice pick up man, I love seeing people who care for the greater good of their pet over money.

So he looks overweight?
Tiles sounds like a plan. I need to see some other peoples setups.
He is so easy going. Wow. I just gave him a few superworms and he went right at them.
I guess the drive didn't hurt his appetite.

Well thanks for the tips. Got some tile today. Man I wish my snakes could use tile. Cost me $10 cash for a box of tile. Now I have substrate forever for $10. Heres a pic. He's not in there because I used a bleach solution to clean the tank and want to be sure any fumes are gone 100%. We also gave him a bath and I doubt his previous owners ever did. What a mess. I thought he pooed in the tub but it was actually a chunk of old shed about 10 layers thick from in the folds of his neck. Also no fish for the tank as it is cracked.

Thanks. I still can't believe it was all free. I just sent an e-mail to Dexters previous owner and she said " I knew you were the right guy". What a feeling!!!

He doesn't look too big no, he may have been puffing up to make himself look like a big fat lizard that you don't wanna mess with.

He's very relaxed. He even closes his eyes a bit when I pet/scratch him. BUT he does not like our dog. When Maggie gors near his viv he opens his mouth about half an inch and sticks his tail straight up. He will ahve to get used to her being around even if they will never interact.

This is Duckys set up :) we put silicone down for the tile in so her nails dont get caught in between but there is tape under the silicone so we can cut it and put it out if we chose to upgrade or w.e

he looks very dark. Hopefully he will lighten up. Lucky you can take him outside. Mine would run away into the bushes. Mine hates handling very very much.

He is a bit dark but I have no plans to breed him anyway. He loves to be handled.
