Good looking ball python- I love the picture of him perching. I can't say that I've ever seen a ball python perch like that!

Sorry guys, didn't realise I hadnt replied. Ben is about 3.5ft loves climbing up on that pole, I can actually hear him shuffling on it now. He is my first snake and a dream to own, always feeds for me and never had a problem with handling.

Nope, it's what they're actually called. People started calling them Ball Pythons when they first became available because they were all wild-caught animals and did tend to ball up, but those days are pretty far behind us now, so I'm on a 1-Man campaign to get people calling them what they really are now - Royal Pythons, lol :D

The scientific name for them is python regius which is Royal Python. "Ball Python" is a nickname that's been given to them because of their tendency to curl up into a ball.
