a quick question

a friend of mine wants to convert an old birdcage into an enclsure for a chmeleon. He says the bars are a little less than a quarter of an inch apart, so if he puts like... a mesh/screen around it would it be ok? any ideas other than this are appreciated too.

Hmmm I got no clue don't know nothing bout a chamelon but it could work if you find a way to keep humidity up

In my honest opinion, he should ditch the bird cage idea and buy a screen mesh cage. You can find them at very reasonable prices online and it will be way easier to deal with in the long run.

well he was going to make a dripper system, aparrently chameleons need airflow so glass tanks dont work well for them. can you get mesh/screen at home depot?

I've been shopping there building my reptile encloser and I never seen one but he could get one for like 50 bucks online I belive

This is where I bought mine. I had the 24"x24"x48" and my chameleon loved it. What type of chameleon is your friend getting?
