Do you think that the tank in this ad is a good size for a adult corn snake? I might be getting a corn snake and I want to get a tank that can last till he is an adult.

I keep my full grown albino nelso milk your corn get around or maybe a few inches bigger I keep mine in a 65 gallon or a 60 gallon tank and that's gives you room to add a lot of stuff I got a waterfall in mine

Yes, that tank would be adequate for an adult corn. It's a 20 gallon long tank, which is the recommended minimum size for adult corns.

Yes but kinda small my nelson almost 5 foot and a full grown corn will most likely get as big or close to my nelson so why not save up and get a bigger tank give your snake more room

As I said, it's the recommended minimum. So yes, of course you can always go bigger, but that tank will be adequate for most corns. Also, some corns stay small and some get huge. It all depends on the individual snake...

I used to have my adult corn in a 30 gallon and very happy. I even think she could've been happy in a 20 gallons without any problems. I'd agree that a 20 gallon long is the minimum for an adult corn, but bigger is better.

That price is pretty steep. I just sold a 4'x13"x18" (55 gallon) for $100.

That's around what I pay for a few of mine but I go to yard sales and find them for like 20 bucks and there's a ton of yard sales over here

I would never pay $100 for a 55 gallon tank. That's insane! You can go to petco and get a brand new 20 gal for $20 , 30 gal for $30 , 40 gal for $40 and so one. I never pay more than $1 a gallon.

I don't know if petco cheaper around were your at than here but that's what the petco charges here for a 55 or a 60 gallon tank plus taxes then they got another for 200 bucks same size just more fancy

Here a 40 gallon tank is like 150$. Thanks guys! I think I will try and get a 30 gallon because it isn't too big and they will be happy.

Betteer suited for my snake but I give plenty of room to my reptiles if you was a 4 foot snake would rather have a 30 gallon or a 50 gallon woulndt you want more room

If they are happy in a 30 gallon tank then why do you need a huge one? I know they will like the extra space but they don't need it so........

theapexgerman

How do you know if a snake happy lol they can't tell you

Exactly. They don't need the extra space. Sure, you could give your corn snake a whole room-sized enclosure. But you just need to give your snake what it needs, and the rest is a bonus. Many people successfully keep corns in 30gallon (and sometimes smaller, like if they're in tubs), without any stress to the animal, which suggests the snake is "happy" in there. ;)

This is a good size tank for a Corn IMO. The price is good too since I comes complete with 2 hides, heating and a screen top.

Schatzi was in a similar tank until I switched her out for a not so long taller tank. The 20L will be the quarantine tank for the male when Im ready for him. She does perfectly fine in either of these tanks and theyre only 20 gallons each but thats just my experience with Corns.

Yea look how cramp it is in the 2nd pic no room to move around both hides take a lot of space

exwizard

She moves around just fine in it and besides, the question the OP asked was about the tank in the ad, which from what I see, looks just like the tank in the first pic and from what I understand, that tank in the ad is bigger than mine.

Theres nothing wrong with your preference. You need to do what you feel is right for your Corn because shes exactly that... YOUR Corn. That being said, the original question needs to be repeated and answered so I will do that now.

I think the tank in the ad is a good size for an adult Corn. Im speaking with first hand experience with my Corns. They do just fine in a tank that size.
