I finally got some live plants in my Crested Gecko tank. There is a Bromeliad or Air plant and a Spider Plant. I also have a question and of course PICTURES! My question is with the plants in there do you have to have a uv bulb? And here are the pictures! Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics.

It looks great!
Yes, I recommend having 12 hours of UV-B exposure for the plants. A 5.0 will suffice. Remember, UV-B bulbs need to be replaced ever six months, even if they are still emitting light.

Get one asap.. I am sure a few days will not harm it.

KK thanks! I am so mad! I didn't think you needed one!! Call me stupid! I guess I am going to have to use my savings money that I was saving for my snake!

The spider plants do. The air plants and bromeliads naturally don't get a lot of light, so ambient light from a window will work (remember, never put your enclosure in direct sunlight, you will cook your plants and animals).

Thats actually good Barelybreathing because then I can just take out the Spider Plant. It seemed kind of squished in there anyway! All I really care about is the air plant!
