I am not new to forums what-so-ever but I have just recently come across this one, and so far I love it~! I only have one snake so far but I would love to get so much more, but sadly I am still just “a teenager” so it's doesn’t really matter how much I love or know about snakes it's all up to my parent's decision.

But I try to make the most of what I have so I join forums and read books and so on and so forth.
:)

Welcome to the best forum you could always try this on your parents a reptile like a snake is a better starter pet to have than a dog and having 2 or more will make you more mature it work on my little cousin dad

Welcome, it shows a lot of maturity that you are willing to do lots of reading and research before being able to actually get another snake. There are plenty of years in front of you to explore more animals and they mean a lot more when they are bought with money that you have earned yourself :)

No, the snake in the picture is not mine (sadly). I took the lemon blasts picture at the last convention that I went to, I will post some more pictures if you would like.

I just have a normal male that I got for 40 bucks XD.

Welcome :) It's good to see another BP owner :D My mother was a little skeptical when I wanted to get a snake...she was like.."Are you going to take care of it? blah blah"

Once I goth im home my moms worries and typical reactions to even having a snake disappeared. She fell in love with him haha. So I guess I was lucky enough when it came to my parent. Dad on the other hand loved the idea from the start ;)

Hey, as I've come to realise and a few others are the same... A high end morph is just a normal with an expensive "paint job"... Theres nothing wrong with the natural colours of each species :D

His name is Evra, I got the name from Evra Von the snake boy from the book series 'Crique du freak'.

Evra's about 22''. If I where to guess I would say he's about 10 mouths old.

This is him here:

is that a screen top with no latches? You should invest in some latches and a cover for a large portion of the screen so you can keep the humidity up. Otherwise it looks great.

How are you measuring humidity and temperatures?
The screen lid makes it easy for humidity to escape the enclosure.
Also, I don't see a second hide on the hot side, just a rock thing? or is that a hide? It's hard to tell.

Evra looks great though :) Congrats on your first snake! Take good care of him and the rewards will be immense :D

Not trying to be too critical here, but isn't an open top enclosure supposed to be less than ideal for a BP??

Yup, it lets humidity escape. Kyle and I mentioned it too

I thought that log thing was a hide, guess I didn't look too hard.

Your tank set up needs work. You need 2 hides 1 on the hot side 1 on the cold. That little "shelf" will just get pulled onto your snake at some point in time and hurt it. You need to seal 95% of the top so that you can retain humidity. Also cover the back and 2 sides with either fabric or paint to allow your snake to feel safer. Other than that its a nice fish tank.
