Sammy the gecko.

Introducing my little gecko Sammy. :p He's four years old now, I "rescued" him from a petstore. He was just a baby, and him and his brother/sister were in a tank with sand substrate, and very skinny. We brought home both of them, we named one Sammy and the other was Star.

Star was very lethargic. He wouldn't eat or drink, we had to force feed him and give him water with a syringe. Sammy quickly adapted and was eating on his own, very little, but eating never the less.

We brought Star to a reptile expert and they told us there wasn't much we could do for him and it was near his time. As we got back into our car, the little guy took his last breath and passed on.

Sammy continued to grow strong, he's still getting bigger every day. He's much more active now, he loves to eat, and he's a funny little guy who makes everyone smile when they see him.

I'm sorry to hear about Star. That's really sad. They both looked awful. :(

Buuut... Sammy looks great, now! That speaks very well for your efforts! He looks like quite the character, too. I love the pictures of him licking the glass.

Do you mean on the first picture? If so, that's when we first rescued them. Sammy, the one who survived, is much fatter now. :D
