So here she is...my newest addition! She is the sweetest and most gentle snake that I own..and I am so happy to have scored such an awesome baby girl!

She is a Pewter (Cinnamon x Pastel) Female BP, she was born in October 2011. I don't have a name for her yet...so any suggestions? :)

And of course, lots of photos! :D

Name her Lily!

She was Mrs. Munster on "The Munsters." Remember that show? She had a white line all the way up her head too, and well since that's what caught your eye, I think it fits perfectly!

Beautiful girl! If you don't mind my asking, did you get her from Sam at SHP? My brother and I got both of ours from him (Coquitlam) and couldn't be happier.

Thanks! No I actually got her in Chilliwack, BC from James. I believe he is one of the breeders among some other ones that share the same facility.

If you don't mind I'm actually curious about SHP and was wondering if you have a website or email or something to contact them? I haven't heard of them and it would be handy to know someone a bit closer :)

I'm just down the road from you in Maple Ridge! I couldn't be happier with my pinstripe and my brothers mojave from SHP. SHP is Sam Pavlis (early 20s, nice guy). There is also Henry Piorun in Mission. They will both likely be at the show and sale in April (Abbotsford Fair Grounds).

A little update...

She ate! (YES).
She was sold to me as a live feeder on rats...I only do F/T so I was hoping that she would take it....and she took it right away! She seems very promising :D It's neat as you can see the black spots on the rat inside her belly :O

Yayyyy glad she ate for you :D and f/t, too! That's such a relief.

I get nervous when I see people feeding on paper towels... this website explains why (graphic images included). Wow, honestly I had no idea. I've been feeding on paper towel for over a year now and -personally- have never had a problem. But from now on I will not use paper towel.

I always watch them eat as well, just to make sure everything goes smoothly. :) Thanks!!

Surprisingly I've been generally pretty lucky when it comes to my snakes eating, although my female pastel is refusing more often...might be because she's almost at that maturity for breeding? Not too sure..but by the time I am really concerned she takes a rat, so no complaints :D

My first snake, which is a Spider BP was and is still my best feeder. He goes nuts once he gets a good whiff of a rat xD It's actually pretty hilarious..I should post a video next time he gets fed :P

My durmil hell stalk his prey I put a rat in there small rat hell lay under the repti bark and follow the rat you can see him moveing under the substrate and bam he hits it pretty hard and then in a few minutes no more rat

That's epic! I would love to see one of my BPs to do that...but I doubt that's going to happen...

Dumerils are beautiful...I fell in love with them as soon as I saw one. Hopefully in the near future I can call myself a proud owner :D

theapexgerman
03-02-12, 01:41 PM
I got my dumeril for good price I think like a little over 100 bucks and he was only. Few months old my breeder gots 3 durmils in the other day babys I get discount tho since I bought all of my snakes from him he gots them at 140$ witch is still good price

Hurrok
03-02-12, 01:44 PM
That's pretty good considering a reputable breeder near me is selling them for $175 each, or a pair for $300. Not bad? Considering everything seems more expensive in Canada xD

Hurrok
03-02-12, 02:14 PM
Dang...that's a good price! Rats aren't too bad here. But now my supplier is charging HST, which is a major bummer cause I usually get a whole bunch of rats in one go to stock up. Not overly complaining just seems like HST is taking over everything...

Ahh you like the ones that cost some money! Haha I'm only joking but I have to agree. Bananas are really neat, and I've always wanted a Queen Bee or a Blue Eyed Lucy. Some morphs are just like....okay that's nothing too exciting.

But I really love her face too, soo nice! :D
