I opened this thread and the beardie photo was fullsized for a second... WOW! Great photography! I also really like the boa shot, perfectly centred and level, great shot! I look forward to seeing more of your threads!

Learning your camera is my motto, keep with it! Its already doing really well, you're gonna be a pro with it soon! Is it a Canon? Mine was only $150 bucks and it works way better then my $200 fujifilm now that I've learned it better. Its not just the camera, its knowing how to use it! You don't have far, doesn't even look like you used flash in the beardie shot... so kudos! You need more animals, your skills are being unused with just those 4 lol. You need a carpet python for sure... hehe

:D Its a Nikon D90 :D I'm waiting on getting my macro lens and its killing me! I've been mulling over a carpet lately to be honest :P I took about 40 photos of everyone, trying different settings so i'm getting more of a feel for it. I want it to warm up so I can start using natural light more.

Wow started at the top eh? Good call! I can't wait until you get the macro lens lol! reptile photography is becoming a more prominent hobby of mine now then reptiles themselves lol.
Keep posting shots, we love them! Even the not perfect ones can have a cool artistic look to them, so they're worth posting too. It's really cool watching the evolution of your skill level, seeing lots of old pics, then slowly get fewer and better as time goes. It's awesome! You have some real good models too! A carpet python would be a great snake to through into the mix though. They photograph really well(when they're still..) blood pythons are great too, amazing to photograph! I can't wait for natural light either, getting warm quick here too, we've had a couple days at 10*C and warm enough in the sun to take black snakes out... still kinda windchilly though.
