I really like the last Chihuahua Mtn. King and the last Mexicana as well. I remember Grey Bands being the craziest feeders, how are yours? I really like the granite ones. Kingsnakes are probably one of my favourite colubrids. Amazing looking snakes. Great photo's too!

@ Caylan - These were not terrible feeders but two of them prefer live over F/T. Graybands can be hard to get going but so can NA milks specially if they are under 5 grams when they hatch. Usually if I have a problem feeder they will get cooled down for 6-8 weeks and then warm them back up. That usually does the trick.

Very interesting trick!! The grey bands we had would spaz over food, wrapping it rolling around with it for about a minute... frozen thawed too lol. Then they'd eat like the pyro's, moving all four lips individually really quickly and getting it down in no time flat.
I really find your cooling method interesting, never thought of that. You have any idea why that would work? Is there something seasonal in the grey bands area that would simulate that? I know when I have problem feeders I do a whole enclosure change up, and thats worked for me everytime so far. I find they just don't always like going into a show box lol. Obviously cooling would be dangerous with pythons, but I wonder if there's something similar to try... we had a pastel ball python that hatched 8 months ago, and I just brought her to my place two weeks ago... she's had her first two meals here... all I did was give her a bigger cage and a different style hide. Now I want to tinker with cooling this year see if I can't get everyone eating at work this season. Thanks for the info, sorry for rambling. Kingsnakes are something I may get into someday so that trick will always be in the back of my head now. Thanks again! Caylan.S.
