I found this ad. Can someone help me understand please, how you combine too Bullseyes and get a Pearl? Just Dad is a Pearl?

"This pair of Bullseyes are feeding and growing well. They have really nice patterns, and the female has especially nice color.

Parents are unrelated, and the father is a Pearl. Good chances of producing Pearls with this pair!

Reduced price of $450 shipped for the pair."

Can someone help me understand, please, how two bullseyes have a "good chance of producing Pearls?

Not questioning the credibility of the author or truth behind the ad, I believe the chances are good. I'm just trying to understand how it works.

Thanks!

That's kinda what j was thinking... both are 100% "het for pearl?" I'm not sure that's accurate, or "proven?" but I'm still learning.

I have no idea, I never looked into brazilian rainbow boa genetic's. Thats the only thing that makes sense to me. Unless Bullseyes are a codom gene with the homozygous being a pearl. But I don't even know what a bullseye or a pearl look like lol.

Too be honest I really don't care for rainbow boa morphs, I prefer localities. That goes for all boas. I'm just also big on genetics lol. They're more of a python thing though. The different localities boas can offer are my morphs. That said I much prefer the the columbian rainbow to the brazilian as well, I don't much care for brazilian rainbows at all. Good luck finding your answer.

Thanks. I love boas. My fist was my Colombian and Marcy & I would love to have a Suriname Boa. I don't care much for boa morphs, love the originals.

I love the high oranges and hypos, i dont care about the pattern "morphs" at all though.

Im getting a high orange and plan to eventually breed it with a hypo and get a bunch of high orange het hypos and go from there, i love the looks of both for different reasons.

ty for that link btw!

I've got a high orange male on the way (as weather permits) as you may know. I already have a Pearl female, so I think that'd be a good project.

At least High Oranges are a line bred trait, I can respect that quite a bit, moreso then pattern or genetic morphs. Hypo's aren't terrible, they don;t stray to far from the real thing, but I would probably prefer the aneries myself if I was going to get anything... But I'm still holding out for some dominican red mountain boa's, those are my kinda rainbows!

Ha! I had to decide between the Madagascans and Red Mtns.! Those are very cool! Talk about metachrosis, they turn a completely different color at night! That's really cool. One day I hope to breed those too, hopefully before you flood the market with them! So please don't do that. Haha

Buy the pair Roy and you can breed the male which he claims to be a pearl to your pearl.

Good luck finding your answer.I never found a need for BRB morphs since BRBs themselves are very colorful. Out of all the Rainbow Boas the Brazilians are the brightest and most colorful which is also why they are my preference over the rest of them as well.

Im not against morphs either. I just dont want to pay more than $200 for any snake. That rules out a lot of stuff for me but Im ok with that. To each his/her own. This is just where Im coming from.

These are both Bullseyes. The Pearl was the Sire of the litter.

And now I have also ordered my "Pearl Making Kit." Should be here in a couple weeks! OK, no more Rainbows! (For now. There WILL be more, trust me! Heheh) Now on to the Madagascans! (Which by the way are on sale NOW!)

Yup! My first (of what I'm sure will a few) purchase from Aubrey @ Slipstream. Another great person with incredible pairing options that I'll have to compete with. I can't wait to be mentioned in the same sentence as these breeders!

Somehow not really what I was hoping for.

It's official! These two will be here March 12! Any bets on whether Cass (Casanova) will be here by then? I'm gonna gamble and say "Yes, we will have a 40° night before then."
