I got my first GTP today at the Hamburg,PA show! :) He is a sorong locality. He is only 6 months old. He is so beautiful. I think I am going to name him Ringo, but I am not sure. Please help me come up with names for him. Thanks! :D17240

Hahahaha! I didn't notice that! Thank you for pointing that out. I hope the frowny/smiley face turns bright blue. :)

I paid $400 for him.

His temperament is really good. I am not going to be handling him until he is about a year old, but I did handle him yesterday and he was alert but very calm. He actually already ate and pooped last night. I am so proud. :D

You mean they're completely blue as adults?? not green?? that would be awesome!

I believe that the yellow greens out and the tan/brown will blue out. So not all blue...

No sorongs are not full blue. The little diamond shapes on his spin and head will turn blue. The rest of him will turn a lime green.

Great looking GTP! Seeing as you got him at an expo keep your eyes open for mites. I also bought mine at an expo and even with a good looking over and not seeing any mites at purchase I had a major infestation a few weeks later.
Wow those look amazing with the green and blue!
Definitely on the list some day :P
i cant wait to see this one change color!
Such beautiful snakes, congrats on the new one!

Some female GTP can turn blue while breeding and being gravid, its call hormonal blue.
and i really hope your just guessing the sex because sexing GTP before 1 year old is really dangerous.

No I didn't not sex him. I know his is way to young to even be handled. When I showed his to Kim(Willow), she guessed he was a male but she isn't 100% sure. I am going to sex him once he is fully done with his color change and over a year old.

It doesn't looks like a Sorong to me, some designer morph call mite phase looks like yours pic.

Looks like an Aru or Biak to me but im VERY new to the wonderfull world of Chondro localities
Will0W783

I would think that that is not a pure locality. It's a "designer morph" mite phase, as Edmond Y mentioned. I would think it is a combination of Aru and Biak, given the color and head shape, but I'm not 100% sure.

It can be very difficult identifying these critters. More than one expert has been surpised by the outcome of their juvenile. Either way it's a very nice GTP!

I'm not sure I'm right either, lol. With GTPs, unless you have lineage papers, you can never be sure.

One good things about those worms, regardless what localites or how they look, they are all beautiful.

So true Edmond. I have only had my guy now for a little over a month and I have to say he is just something else. It never gets old staring at him. :)
