You can't really tell from just that.. It mostly takes a while to sex Monitors.. You have to wait till there genitals stick out.

I am only guessing, but just by the smallness of the monitor and guesstimated age, I would be inclined to lean to female.

I'd give you $50 if it turns out to be a male. I'm literally putting money on female.

I based my guess on the fact that the eggs are just starting to be due for hatching from last November/December breeding, that would make Cass almost a year old, and Chomper was twice the size of Cass at that age.

I'm basing my guess on head shape and those lovely little dimples under the tail.

Yes, males seem to have a pointier snout shape..

Don't "bread" her!!! Breed her, instead! (But only if you have your enclosure perfectly).

Yah! I'm not breeding untill I do 4-5 years research! She may not be my son anymore but she's my daughter now, and I'm really protective and want her mate to be suitable! Haha, anyone got something I can read about females?

Not wrinkles, she's shedding.

I have absolutely no personal experience so just going by what I read here, but apparently their growth rate isnt the sexual determiner, but rather the length of time they grow for. Supposedly, they grow at about the same rate, but males continue growing long after the females have slowed down already. Ive asked for the full article, but here is the abstract for something along those lines.
Ontogeny of sexual size dimorphism in monitor liz... [Zoolog Sci. 2010] - PubMed - NCBI (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21110717)

And take in the fact that Brady said the pet store wasn't feeding Castiel adequately.
So s/he could be a stunted male in theory.

Yah, we just have to wait and see! But That monitor expert Daniel said she was female so I might take his word for it
Ya, thats a pretty good authority! Where did you get a hold of Daniel?

Apparently he's on herpcenter. He uses another name, ask Wayne!

Way I found out Jojo was a male is when he pooped in the water and it all came out.
Your looks like a female because of the size but if she was underfed i don't know. :(

Even "popping" can be deceiving. Most people don't know the difference between hemipenes and hemiclitoris.

He's on HC as "Bodiddlyitis" and he's on Kingsnake as "Mampam"
